Cock and Bottle reviews

This pub has not sold real ale of any quality for over eighteen months. The staff and customers are equally unfriendly and have the opinion that visitors are not welcome. Personally I would give this pub no stars whatsoever!

Well as a real ale lover visiting Bradford for a weekend before Christmas, this pub came high on our list of venues to try, and reasonable distance from our hotel, but what a disappointment. The warning signs came on Sunday, 'for sale' signs outside ...we called firstly to the excellent Corn Dolly, where friendly locals told us it was, frankly, not a welcoming pub. Well it was Monday before we got to look as on Sunday it had already closed by 10pm, and on Monday we did a smart u-turn as there was nothing in the way of real ales to be had. Obviously, at one time it was the real ale paradise as described, but now it seems clear the present owners are just biding time to sell on.
