Latest Music Bar reviews
Latest music bar is fantastic! We had our Christmas party there and all the staff were lovely as-well as the venue. I'll definitely go back there!
Latest is a great venue with a live music venue, bar and restaurant all under one roof!

Whether you fancy a coffee or a cocktail in cultured surroundings, Latest Music Bar has got it covered.
Latest is a well-known cultural hangout (formerly the Joogleberry)that's popular with the city's theatre crowd, although it's not exclusively stars of the stage who frequent the bar. It's fitted out with light wooden flooring and furniture and is extremely spacious, an effect that's enhanced by its high ceiling. Downstairs, there's a bar and performance area appropriately named the Music Bar that's open all night every night. Live entertainment tends to start at 8pm which later turns into a free entry late bar every night from 11pm.
The faces here range from local stars of the stage, those who wish they'd had the conviction to follow a life of greasepaint but chose a more conventional career hoping for some of the magic to rub off on them and regular theatre goers who can recite every play coming to Brighton in the next twelve months off by heart. Given the crowd, it's hardly surprising that Latest does a brisk trade in wine from its extensive list.
The Food and Drink
Aside from the wine, there's Fosters, Guinness and San Miguel on tap and bottled beers include Becks, Victoria Bitter, San Miguel, Corona, Budvar, Baltika and Strongbow. Cocktails cover all the classics including Caipirinhas, Cosmopolitans, Mojitos and Bloody Marys. There's a good range of spirits, including nine vodkas and one of the best selections of absinthe in Brighton. If you can tear yourself away from the bar, food is available including snacks like pizzas, pittas and pastas, as well as tapas and platters to share. There are some delicious cakes too.
The Last Word
Given its fantastic drinks list and quirky entertainment, Latest Music Bar deserves to be a little better frequented than it currently is. When it comes to the cutting edge, sometimes it's hard to keep up.
