Bella Naples reviews
ATE HERE WITH A FRIEND LAST NIGHT. WOW!!! FANTASTIC FOOD. BRILLIANT SERVICE. GREAT WARM FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE. PRICES REASONABLE. CAN'T WAIT TO EAT HERE AGAIN.
I am italian. And I've been to many italian restaurants in uk. 90% are fake and crap. 10% are below average in italy. Bella Naples is awesome! Pure, real. Homemade pizza base, desserts, bread and even mozzarella! Cooked to perfection. The owner goes twice a week at Billingsgate to get fresh mussels and claw fish. If you want glitters and fake italian don't go at Bella Naples. If you wanna eat like you can eat in a non touristic real place in italy go to Bella Naples!

We had a great meal here last night. Food was authentic, tasty, nice lively vibe, yet you can still talk and hear each other . Really friendly chefs, attentive. Get in early, it gets busy and diners don't seem as if they want to leave!
My boyfriend and I ate at this lovely restaurant a couple of Thursdays ago and had a fantastic meal. I've eaten at all the Italian chains and although they are OK, it was SO different and welcome to eat proper, home cooked authentic Italian food for a change. And to make it even better, the owners were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. It was a bit of a journey for us (from the Tower Hamlets area), but we will definitely go back again soon to enjoy another fabulous experience.

It was our anniversary and seeing as we have a new baby at home, we didnt really want to go far from home. I came across reviews of Bella Naples on this site and i thougt it might be worth a go. I am so glad we did. From the front it doesnt look like much but when we went in, the owner and chef was very attentive and even sat with us at the end of the meal for a quick chat.
We had the shared platter to start and it was fantastic. The bread was lovely and the balance of flavours was very delicate. I had the bell naples pizza for a main...it was one of the best pizza's i have had, but be warned you do need to be hungry to tackle this on your own. My wife had the seafood spaghetti and she loved it.
The tiramasu was beautiful and the lemon sorbet was also very good.
I would have no issue with going back there again and again, so when we next get a babysitter then thats where we will head.
I live locally to Bella Naples and often pop in on the way home from work to pick up one of their fantastic wood-fired pizzas. The food is honest, authentic Italian and miles ahead in taste and quality of ingredients than any of the pizza and pasta that Zizzi's and Pizza Express serve up across the road; I would walk past them and go straight to Bella Naples any day! The homemade desserts are amazing too and I would thoroughly recommend saving room for Marcello's tiramisu! Marcello and Gennaro always greet you with a warm welcome and smile and they try their best to please you; often making suggestions to things that you might not always have picked. Give it a go!
Genaro and Marcello are very dedicate guys! The pizzas are really good, but the pasta is even better: home made carbonara (with egg, the italian way, not with cream!), pesto sauce (full of basil( and and home made mozarella are superb. Finally.... the panacota is out of this world (and i've tried panacotas everywhere, they are my favourite dessert! To top it all, they always greet you with a smile! My only criticism is how slow is it, but believe me, they try their best to please you, and the wait is well worth it: its not a chain, they cook it in the moment, is proper italian!! We dont go to pizza express any more!

I'm Italian-American and used to very good Italian food. When I moved to London I was so disappointed with places like Pizza Express, and to find out that it was pretty much "the norm" and people even liked it! I was thrilled when Bella Naples opened and we tried it - it is the real deal. If you're used to pizzas from the aforementioned place, you're in for a whole new experience with flavour and texture. And the (homemade!) desserts are to die for! The guys there are funny and lovely, and we wish them great success with their delicious Italian offerings!
Doesn't look much from the outside but really lovely food in an unpretentious friendly little place.. Walk past zizi and pizza express and come here instead!

Bella Naples is a real hidden gem. Two genuine Italian chefs creat wonderful fresh pasta and pizza dishes. Such a rarity to find a genuine authentic italian restaurant. So wonderful to find a place where the owners care about beautiful Italian food. South woodford has plenty of Italian restaurants, but this is the real deal. Be prepared for superb pizzas.
Thanks guys this is the best pizza restaurant in Woodford .The service, as well, is outstandingly courteous and friendly - I've been here four or five times over the course of the last year, and every time have been greeted with a huge smile and a warm handshake from the Chef. Unsurprisingly for a restaurant with 'Pizzeria' in its name, the pizzas are the best dishes on the menu, although I've had some sea food here as well once which was amazing, and now they are making some unforgettable antipasti italiani platter and some home-made pasta as well for their great sauces. The home-made gelatos for dessert are outstanding, and the value-for-money's very good for London. All in all, one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city. It’s like to dine in un Italian family. I love it. Give a try
Had a brilliant experience very authentic food was divine family run and the two brothers are great hosts! Would definitely recommend. Great value
A really nice place to eat! Great food, good-sized portions. The 'pizza Bella Naples' is something I'll be going back there for again and again.

A very pleasant evening spent in this restaurant with friends. Honest Italian food made on the premises to a high standard, charming staff and pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to coming here again.
Great little restaurant… simple home-made Italian fare, expertly made… and GOOD!
Friendly but erratically inefficient service may annoy some and if you're in a rush this is not the place to come. Personally if I'm going to eat out, relaxing and having some time between courses adds to the enjoyment. And the food is worth the wait- truly excellent pizza cooked in a wood fired oven, wonderfully textured base with some very tasty toppings. Have been here several times and none of the food has disappointed, from starters through to coffee. The desserts are relatively expensive and worryingly small until you bite in and realise they are being made by someone who knows what they're doing with sweet ingredients. There are lots of Italian places locally including some large chains which serve perfectly decent food but the quality here makes it a bit special. I'd recommend giving it a try. Unless you're in a rush - in which case try the takeaway.

looks lovely and homely from the street, on site pizza oven and very family run. we sat down, it took 15 mins before the waiter came to our table to give us the menus, we had to flag the waiter down to order our drinks ( only 5 tables in the restaurant) and again to order starters and again to order our mains. our two bruschetta starters took 30 mins to come, then we waited an hour for our pizzas. they arrived and were obviously not cooked through, dough was raw. the pizza chef came to our table 5 mins after we recieved thepizzas to explain the oven was too hot and they had not been cooked properly, he took them away and said it would be a couple of minutes and he would cook two new pizza's for us. 30 mins later we asked what the delay was, and found out our pizzas were just going in the oven, so we told the chef not to bother and paid for our wine and starters and left. in 2 hours we had had a bottle of wine and a starter.
Not sure why it takes sooooo long to get a pizza in the oven - maybe they can't cope with the 5 tables in the restaurant and the takeaway orders coming in. the other 4 tables around us didn't look to impressed with the length of time their orders were taking either.
in short we will not go back, Zizi or Pizza Express over the road do better pizzas in a tenth of the time.
