I've never seen a bad gig at the Dome, and I think that's down more to the actual venue than anything else.. its the perfect size, shape.
layout for a venue. The sound is always faultless. I assume nearly all bands bring their own gear and sound engineers, so it must just be down to the acoustics of the place..
A rich, crisp sound which does not reverberate around the hall, and bounces back fully to the audience with no delays. Staff are always polite and professional.
Beats the barnlike Brighton Centre hands down, although perversely enough, I saw the greatest gig I've ever seen at the Brighton Centre (Leonard Cohen 2008)
For my money..Best live venue in town for bands of a certain size... any bigger will play the BC, and that needs a hell of a lot of stage charisma to fill that stage..
