I cannot comment on the food and drink but...after having a really tough time I decided to meet up with my mum for a coffee . I had previously walked by and thought we must go there later. After a little shopping we went in and sat down. As I wanted to treat my mum I thought I had better check and see if they took debit cards. They said no , only cash , fair enough so we left as I had only got cards. As we walked down the road I was approached by a waiter who demanded I return to pay my bill. " What bill ? " I explained to the chap that we didn't actually have anything and was only in there for 20 seconds. He looked very cross and said I must pay the bill. I didn't want to get upset but felt so hurt by this I went back in and asked them why they sent someone to chase us for money for goods we hadn't even had. Everyone just looked at each other and one member of staff said a pretty poor sorry ! Like it didn't matter.
If I ran a coffee shop I would take the time to recognise who was a customer and who wasn't . Get some some staff of good quality then you won't go round upsetting people and getting poor reviews.
I really don't recommend here and will make a point of telling as many people as possible what happened.
Thanks for your input, and we have now changed the way the cafe is run. W e have new management and staff now, not to mention a new refit and look and menu. Customer service is our priority and we strive to maintain the high level of experience that people in Brighton and Hove have come to expect from their cafes. Im sure that if you saw all the changes we have made, you would agree.
