The Blue Man reviews

I had never tried North African foos until I went to The Blue Man. My first impressions were unbelievable and so was the food. I was a real treat going here and would love to go again.

I had a huge craving for North African and this place seemed to have the best reviews. We tried to go on a Sunday, but they were closed even though everything said they would be open, so we went to Mascara instead but we made reservations with Blue Man for a Friday and it was well worth the wait. Very cozy, comfy place with traditional food and decor, and excellent service. We had the Kemia, which was a delicious assortment of starters and a lamb tagine. Then for mains we had the Khrouf, the fresh whole seabass, and the Khoudra B’stilla, all of which were excellent. My personal favourite was the Khoudra B’stilla, which was a huge, delicious, flakey filo parcel stuffed with vegetables, almonds, couscous, and goats cheese. In general, the food has a very subtle flavouring and you can really taste the flavour of the meat or fish throughout the dish. I'm quite partial to more powerfully flavoured food myself so, aside from the Khoudra B’stilla, I wouldn't actually order any of the meals again, but that doesn't take away from their goodness and my dining companion absolutely loved it all. Topped off our meal with some excellent red wine and a shisha pipe outside in the cold (just for the experience), and our cheque arrived in a cute, little chest. All in all, a great restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone.

I came here a few months ago with my parents and had a great evening. We didnt know where to eat and stumbled across the blue man. I really didnt know what to expect from the food but it was delicious! and the venue itself is fabulous, the decor is traditional and really interesting and the staff were friendly and ensured we all had a lovely time.

Absolutely great food and friendly staff - something a little different. Would certainly recommend and will return myself.
