I had a takeaway from here as it was cheaper than Bombay Dreams which is a few doors down. However they are clearly cheaper for a reason - their food isn't as good. I have now become a regular at Bombay Dreams as I find their curries so much tastier. Quite a disappointing takeaway from here actually. Lots of sauce not much meat.

It's simply fabulous you mean, you were probably too much of a trout to not notice it at the start and mistakes do happen! I think we British expect too much from Indian restaurants these days and take them for granted, end of the day they are only human. The waiters run to your aid at the slightest, they serve you better than waiters in other restaurants despite the fact some speak very little English. For example, if Pizza hut were to make a mistake with an order we would not be happy, however it doesn't mean we would never set foot in a Pizza hut anywhere ever again? Let's not slag of LTD businesses, I'm sure they would have fully co-operated if you were to give them a ring or get back to them in some shape or form. Bristol Raj is brilliant, I wouldn't be surprised if the chef had saved some of the sauce from your madras for himself, I'm sure it was tasty! I am a regular of the establishment and have been for a while now, recommended to anyone looking to drop by for a curry and a nice warm atmosphere with a splendid intimate Indian touch! :) J. I ordered a Chicken Madras takeaway and peshwari nan, the chicken madras when I opened the plastic container I was greated with 1cm of sauce and 1 cm of pure fat which I was frankly astounded after the price of £7.80 for the pleasure. I left the meal half way through as my astonishment creeped up on me once more so half ended in land fill and the other half we shall see what happens.

Please please dont bother with Bristol Raj as there are some truely excellent places in Clifton Village the Brunel Raj ( brilliant and always packed never a bad sign) and Spice Brass very busy all week and excellent service and superb food and good on price as well, to name but two. If I could give them nil stars I would but alas this site does not allow nil points to be given. I will never be eating in Bristol Raj againin Total disgust. S. Sinclair
