The Drawbridge reviews

I am very upset the way we were treated the bar staff made us pay five pounds for a pull cue we had for less than five minutes that broke it was allready broken I asked for a manager and they spoke to me like a child I felt really disrespected

Went to the Hippodrome last night to see Phantom and went into the Drawbridge for some food. Great new menu, food was fanstastic, the staff were excellent very polite and friendly not like the old pub a great improvement. The manager has done a great job.

A lovely pub with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and a good selection of food and drink which are also value for money. New management have changed the the pub from what it used to be a couple of years ago to a lovely environment. Its only downfall is some of the decor but I'm sure a lick of paint will sort this out, after-all the building itself is rather old. Keep up the good work.

This pub looks a bit too trendy - from the outside anyway. Another one of those pubs that have had the heart ripped out of them and have become sterile environments - soft matt colours, twirly wallpaper, elaborate mirrors, new leather sofas and pine furniture - you know the type of place as every decent pub seems to be going that way these days. Where is the imagination?

Yesterday we attended a show at the Bristol Hippodrome and unfortunately decided to eat in this establishment beforehand. To be honest I should have gone with my gut feel on entering and seeing the place, but we had an elderly relative with us which made it difficult to wander too 'far' off the beaten track. One of the reviewers on the web said it all, "It’s a horrible place. It’s dirty, sticky tables, stinking toilets"

In short I agree with those statements - if only I had read them beforehand. Ok, the place is a flea-bite but we decided to order food anyway, after all its right next door to where we need to be (big mistake). The food arrived and looked ok but after tucking into the chicken, the outside was cooked and the inside was raw, maybe I am overly sensitive or picky, but I felt this was inexcusable? Anyway, in short I would not recommend this pub!
