I have recently been to the Kings bar and sampled the Hot Rock menu.
Having heard about, but never having eaten food partly cooked by yourself on a hot stone this was a whole new experience.
The manager could not have been more helpful right from walking in the door, the menu was fully explained and also the concept of the part cooking in the kitchen through to how long the meat should remain on the stone dependant on how rare/cooked you like to eat it.
Both my partner and myself chose the fillet steak, the quality of the meat was fantastic and with the managers guidance I managed to cook this exactly to my liking, the steak came with very large (nice) chunky chips, salad offered with or without dressing to your liking and what I thought was a really delicious rustic homemade coleslaw, (although my partner would have preferred it without the cheese). There was also 6 lovely homemade dips that accompanied, one of which I think was an Orange and whisky butter which was particularly nice.
Would I recommend people to try this place, the answer would be 100%
Hope you enjoy
