During our trip me and my friend broke down, and it was really late. We were both left with dead phone batteries, and the staff kindly helped us to ring a taxi, offered us a drink and were incredibly kind, and made us feel at home. The pub itself was spacious with beautiful decor and a vintage feel which created a very welcoming atmosphere. Because of its location, the beautiful country side made it a very special and relaxing trip. Would definitely return again. 10/10 for customer service!

Just had to say how much I enjoyed my lunch the other day. I was so pleased that the Broccoli Bake was available and I have to say it was the BEST I have tasted! I make this at home frequently and never have got it to taste so lovely. It was definitely worth every penny of the £8.95 I paid. The accompanying veg was also very lovely and fresh. Yay! :)

Hi there. Dined yesterday lunchtime with pals. Found the ambience, staff and cleanliness absolutely outstanding. Just one problem. As a vegetarian I found the menu only had 2 choices. The one I chose was unavailable, which was quite disappointing. My 2 friends had the carvery which looked really good and they paid £5.95 each. I had to settle for a tarte tatin which was ok but not spectacular. Pastry, cheese and beetroot and I paid £10.95! I dont wish to have a go but I found this quite unreasonable to be honest. I am just wondering how that price can be justified really. I hope you find this feedback helpful for the future.

An amazing home-cooked Sunday lunch, choice of three roasts ,beef ,turkey, pork ,(had a slice of each) huge Yorkshire pudding and home cooked fresh vegetables, plenty of gravy to help yourself to as well. Owner very helpful as was the waitresses, lovely dining area and a small area for children to play in , well worth the drive out

Second visit and it was, like the first very good. While the food may not win Michelin Stars it was hot and well presented. The beef was "carvery" beef but it was tender and full of flavour. Friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant stop on the way to Aldbough.

Dropping in for an evening meal, my wife and I were fortunate to be shown around the new Bistro about to open that evening. When asked at what time it was due to open the landlady gave us the privilege of being the first customers. What can I say but the whole meal was excellent, the service was first class and I would recommend to those fussy eaters to visit the Bistro and have an exceptional food experience. My wife and I took a disabled friend with his carer, although we have been before, had never had anything but good service our friends stated "Its the best pub meal they have had in years and its a pity there's no hotel, we would have stayed the night" Cooperman

Unusual high standard of cuisine and friendliness. The chef and landlady has the ability to cater for the majority tastes and choices of those who frequent the establishment. The only downside of a visit is the large portions which prevent the writer from enjoying the desert!

We held my aunt and uncle's 60th wedding anniversary party here and it was superb - food, service, ambience were all excellent . We had about 40 people there and so many of them came up afterwards and said what a great afternoon they had had. I would thoroughly recommend the Wrygarth for any small party.

We have been here twice in the last few months and have always enjoyed ourselves.

There is crazy golf for the children after you've eaten.

The food is always superb, piping hot and tasty. We have only had one niggly concern and that is that the first time we went, we asked for two cappucinos and these were cool.

I have to say that when we told the waitress, she apologised and took them away and brought new ones.

Overall, the food and value for money is second to none. I would seriously recommend it!!!!!!
