Vue Cinema Kirkstall Road reviews

Been to vue at kirkstall a lot recently.we found the staff all very nice and friendly also very helpful.the ladies toilets are the only negative they are very clean but there is a strong smell of drains and sometimes there is no loo roll or soap in the dispensers.I also find It is a little chilly so I wear something warm just in case.

Terrible staff organisation. The management are severely incompetent - on an Orange Wednesday there was 1 girl selling tickets at the front desk and 3 tearing tickets. Unfortunately it takes about 100 times longer to sell a ticket than to tear it. The worst thing is this is not a one off. It happens every week.

Decided to take grandma and niece to the cinema over the Christmas holidays. The ticket office wasnt open so we had to join the really large popcorn/coke queue to buy the tickets. There were only 2 people serving so it took ages - the rest of the staff were having a chat amongst themselves and occasionally performing the "tear the ticket Ive just paid for" role. Because it took so long to buy a ticket most of the seats were already taken and we got to sit in the seats near the front of the screen. These seats are ridiculous. Far too close to the screen and who can look up for 2 hours?! These seats are the same price as the others yet are incredibly uncomfortable. In future I will wait the few weeks it takes for the film to come out on dvd and watch it in the comfort of my own home. Ps I hope the refurb of the majestic in Leeds city centre give the Vue chain a run for their money.

The cinema is now old, tired and dirty. The only 'improvements' made in the last few years are some large seats in the middle seating area of each screen. These seats command an extra fee and mean that with a normal ticket you are moved toward the back or front of the seating area. These normal seats are often dirty and in a bad state of repair. Best avoided!
