The Raymond Gubbay Barbican Christmas Festival is back once again for the festive period 2014, meaning there are plenty of fantastic live acts for you to catch over the holidays. Running throughout the festive period and taking you into the cold and wintery days of January to start the New Year, there is something for everyone to enjoy on the programme. Full on festive music With the likes of the London Concert Orchestra, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and many special gala nights, the Barbican Christmas Festival is certain to be a hit with all music fans. Whether you want Vivaldi by candlelight, an evening enjoying iconic music from the movies, or big band glamour, you're in for a very festive treat. Classical hits for Christmas Classical music makes a big return for the Barbican Christmas Festival for 2014 with performances of Handel's Messiah, Beethoven's Ninth and a Last Night of the Christmas Proms gala featuring proms favourites such as Rule Britannia! and Land of Hope and Glory.
