There is plenty to get excited about this half term at Museum of Childhood as kids have storytelling sessions and workshops to keep them entertained.

There is plenty to get excited about this half term at Museum of Childhood as kids have arts and crafts exhibitions to keep them entertained. As well as all the special interactive events and the permanent displays to inspire kids, there's First World War inspired activities to keep the little ones entertained too. Half term at Museum of Childhood Inspired by 100th anniversary of the start of World War I, half term activities include the chance to hear the heroic tale of the pigeon that saved the lost battalion in the Story Spinner version of Fly Cher Ami Fly by Robert Burley. Kids can delve into the Discovery Station, try on First World War inspired costumes and design their own medals to take home at the arts and crafts session. Suitable for all ages, the half term events take place from 10.30am - 4pm. War in words On Friday 31st October kids aged seven upwards can join celebrated poets Roger Stevens and Brian Moses for an afternoon of poetry exploring the First World War, from their latest book What Are We Fighting For? The poetry event takes place from 12 - 4pm. Admission to the museum is free. The events for half term at Museum of Childhood run from Monday 27th - Friday 31st October 2014.
