Children of all ages will be able to learn more about the mysterious events that happened in London's past and are sure to be enthralled by the series of special activities on offer over half term. The school holiday events are themed around art and involve fascinating stories and a range of creative workshops. Events for kids Kids can hear stories of giants and monsters, create phantoms and spectacular beasts, and even make their own Halloween puppets. The full schedule of events for half term at Museum of London Docklands looks like this: 1-2pm & 3-4pm Saturday 25th October 2014 Chickenshed theatre return for an interactive performance of fascinating stories about the people who have helped to bridge London together. 11.30am – 12pm, 1-1.30pm & 2.30-3pm, Sunday 26th October 2014 The Selfish Giant - Originally created for the Museum of Childhood, this interactive performance takes you on a fascinating journey through Oscar Wilde’s classic story. 11-11.45am, 12-12.45pm & 2-2.45pm, Monday 27th October 2014 Beastly rhymes - Meet the creatures hiding in the museum and learn some beastly rhymes in this musical session for under 5s and their parents and carers. Tickets allocated on arrival. 11am – 12.30pm & 2-3.30pm, Monday 27th October & Saturday 1st November 2014 Wonderful whales - Create a beautiful spinning mobile inspired by the wonderful big beasts of the sea. 11.30am – 12pm, 1-1.30pm & 2.30-3pm, Tuesday 28th October & Wednesday 29th October 2014 The children who live near the docks have discovered a mystery beast living in the river. But what is it really and what is it doing in there? 11-12.30pm & 2-3.30pm, Wednesday 29th October & Thursday 30th October 2014 Be inspired by the skyscrapers of London that tower over us like big city beasts and create an impressive city skyline of your own. 11.30am – 12pm, 1-1.30pm & 2.30-3pm Thursday 30th October 2014 Unravel the fascinating tales of mysterious footprints on Hackney Marshes, phantom bears roaming the Tower of London and other strange beasts haunting London. 11am – 12.30pm & 2-3.30pm Tuesday 28th October & 11am – 12.30pm & 1.30-3pm Friday 31st October 2014 Puppet Beasts at Halloween - Make your own puppet beast to take home. 11am – 1pm & 2-4pm Friday 31st October Bring your puppet beasts to life in our puppet theatres.
