Felicite is a gifted singer, who draws admiring glances from regulars at a bar in Kinshasa. Away from the hubbub of the drinking den, Felicite struggles to survive like the other residents of the city. Out of the blue, her 14-year-old son Samo is involved in an accident and requires urgent medical attention in hospital. Samo's father refuses to assist so Felicite begs for help from her regular clientele at the bar. Only a kind-hearted man called Tabu answers her cry for help.
