I'm quite interested to see the estimated costs for this place because it looks way out based on our lunch there - starters mostly £10-£15 and mains from £16-30. And that's the point - it is way over priced for what it is and the lunch menu was not imaginative. The staff are extremely nice and the garden is lovely but really how special can a burger be for £16.50? Or £30 (yes that's £30) for a steak. Our starters were nice enough (dressed crab & salmon tartare) but but nothing special for the money. A Seafood medley as a main, again, okish but the lobster spaghetti at £24 was nothing short of a disaster. The sauce was fine but it had been left sitting under a lamp for too long and the spaghetti had effectively baked in the sauce. It was just wrong. This place is expensive and the food doesn't stand up to the prices. Very oddly, they bring the desserts out on a tray to show you. Again, there was nothing really outstanding so we skipped it. It's a real shame - we're short of decent non-Pizza Express, Strada etc eateries in Wimbledon. For the marked difference in price, the food is pretty much the same standard as Cote a few doors down. If we went again, it would simply be to sit in the garden not sadly for the food.
