I like the atmosphere of this cafe, there's a nice sunny buzz, outside area, wi-fi and I especially love the mis matched tea cups! I am disappointed with the prices though - £2.50 for a cup of tea. Really? Yes okay they used the tea leave rather than the bag, but personally I'd be happy with a bag if it means I spend less than £2.00 on a cup of tea. Then there's the toast - £3.00 for two slices. It turned out to be very nice bread, fresh, sour dough, and i was just about to accept the cost for this reason, when the peanut butter and jam arrived, in two serving jars....the peanut butter was clearly a very inexpensive or equivilent of an inexpensive supermarket value type brand. And the Jam was cheap too, it had that siny jelly texture with no fruit, reminds me of the tesco value jam my mother used to buy when we were kids! I'm sorry but if you are going to charge £3.00 for toast, and generally have high prices across the menu, you have to maintain a certain quality across the board, this includes spreads!
This particular area of Clapham is a hub for young professionals, not Chelsea bankers, which is why I am surpised of the over pricing.
I don't mind paying more sometimes, but it has to be worth the money.
