Odeon Whiteleys reviews

Although, like Westfield and, I'm guessing, most shopping centre cinemas, cinemas tend to be pretty deep into the centre, this one is actually quite accessible. You don't have to plan that in advance to get there on time as the cinema is on the second floor and the escalators are pretty straightforward and the distance from the tube station isn't very far either. The only thing I would probably criticize about this cinema is that the screens are flat, as opposed to the usual ramp-like cinema room, so this creates a bit of a tension when you're not used to this room layout and may disturb you from your film, but I got to adapt quite quickly, so I do recommend it.

If 0/5 was an option, that's what I would vote. For £13 a film, you'd expect it to be at least like the Vue cinema in Westfield, but I should have known better. An Odeon's an Odeon, no matter how much you pay for it. Screen is extremely small, and Premier seats were no different from normal seats in terms of arm-space. The seats were not raised enough as the rows go back, so you still see a lot of heads even when seated in premier seats. The air-condition has not worked for years and it boiling hot in there during winter. Cinema ushers showed people to the wrong seats and then having to sort out seats as the cinema filled-up. For the same price, my advice is to travel a bit further for the Vue cinema in Westfield for a completely different experience and value for money.
