Prince of Wales reviews

By Andrew M.

They do a fantastic curry at the Prince of Wales. My friends and I often come here for a curry and they have a great selection of beers as well. The pub is quite small and it can take a while to get served, but is worth the wait. We love the Prince of Wales and would recommend it.

The same thing happened to me in the Prince of Wales 5 years ago, I had a very expensive bag stolen right off the back of my chair. The staff were not helpful and I had to go to the police station to report it. Having said this, they do a fantastic curry there. I'd probably go again, but leave my bag back in the hotel room.

I’ve been with my family last week on Prince of Wales and had the worst experience ever! The food was good and service ok (not great) until we’ve realised that my sister-in-law’s handbag had disappeared. Although they have a note on the counter about pick pockets they don’t have a cctv system. The staff was not helpful at all, I had to insist a few times for them to agree on writing my name and number and I had the feeling that somehow they were finding the tragic situation funny so careful with your belongings if you decide to go there. On our way back from the police station I went there again to ask if they had any news and they kept avoiding me. I definitely not recommend Prince of Wales.

The Prince of Wales looks small but is actually quite large, the staff were polite and friendly, food was good and they serve a nice glass of wine. I just popped in there for lunch and ended up meeting Ralf (and the rest of the cast of two pints of larger and a packet of crisps). How’s that for celebrity!?! Nice atmosphere, there are areas for hiding away!
