A disaster! We booked but they had taken bookings with not enough tables.
60 diners with 2 waiters and one in the kitchen. We waited 2 hours for the main course and finally left without bothering to eat beyond the starter.
We could tell by the the way the manager avoided our gaze we weren't going to get served anytime soon.
The starter was reheated, which isn't good for fritters. Poppadoms are cold prepackaged affairs, staler than Tesco's. Other people's main courses looked similarly unappetising.
The only thing impressive are the menu descriptions, which bear no resemblance to the food produced.
The restaurant relies on centrally pre-prepared (presumably for the restaurants in the chain) so nothing is fresh. Reminded me of the worst school meals.
If you want alcohol-free lager, bring your own as they advertise but don't bother to stock it. The only people who seemed to be enjoying themselves were a large and rowdy group that seemed only to be there for the Cobra.
The worst type of chain, purporting to be something special. Even if you are desperate, don't be tempted.
