Rubens at the Palace reviews

By Deborah L.

Hello. My sister and I stayed here in a Superior King made into two single beds. The room was much bigger than expected and the bath was a nice size as well.

The service here is outstanding. The polite way the staff carries out their duties is wonderful - they seem to care about your stay there and it shows. The Concierge, Dave was full of usefull and funny advice. Michael helped at that post as well and was very nice, as was Nathan the doorman.

In the bar area, Mathew was always trying to help, whether it was entirely his job or not. The check in people were accomplished as well, especially Rupa.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and old English style of the hotel and would want to stay there again. The proximity to Buckingham Palace and major landmarks was a plus, and we ate at a nearby inexpensive cafe called Pronto a Mangia for some reasonable breakfasts.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Rubens very much, such a wide selection. But it was not included in our room rate and could get expensive daily for the non-rich. Us. ha.The room was lovely, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was fine, extremely clean, and I'd recommend it. Thanks Rubens!!!!
