Suki reviews

We chose this restaurant as our first choose was closed when we got there. When we arrived we were given a soft drinks menu as they had no alcohol that day for some reason , The staff were very abrupt and unhappy , the food was not very fresh , some of my salad leaves had gone brown, and my rice was chewy in a bad way ( not the delicious way) it was quite expensive for what it was and the atmosphere was uncomfortable . Maybe they were having a bad day but I wouldn't go again. We just paid and left, reading other reviews perhaps it was expensive due to the service charge, which I didn't realise and wouldn't have paid.

Me and my friend were looking for somewhere to eat and ended up here as every other place was too busy. It looked good from the outside and so we went in. My friend ordered a green curry, she got red curry instead, they changed the dish for her when she pointed out their mistake, the curry was lovely. However I ordered noodles and got a plate full of what looked like soup and the noodles looked like some sea food slime, I ordered another noodle dish and was charged for both dishes. The service was poor yet I still paid for the service charge. The staff are not helpful or approachable, there's no customer service and the food is ok I guess. This place needs improvement for the prices their charging and what their delivering. I wouldn't ever eat there again and their staff and managers need to be trained as they are always making mistakes. Don't waste your money here.

I went for dinner at Suki at around 7pm the other night with two friends. It was packed out downstairs with only a few tables empty. After we were seated it took quite a long time for a waitress to come over and take our order, in the end we had to flag someone down. We ordered our food but when it came to drinks we wanted to order a bottle of the Japanese wine 'Sake' but wasn't sure what it was so inquired with the waitress. Needless to say, she didn't really have a clue what it was. We decided to try it anyway and when it came I wouldn't really call it a 'bottle', more like a jar! We had to wait quite a while for our food to arrive, which while I appreciate it was busy was a little annoying. Service charge was already added to the bill even though we didn't feel as if the service was as good as it good have been.
