The Grove Bar and Restaurant reviews

Awful

Arrived early for a beauty appointment next door. I thought id grab some lunch here in the meantime. Was refused to be served as i walked in carrying a small bottle of lucozade, note i did not drink from it. In addition, i already ordered a drink for beverage. Either they are racist or they have poor customer service manners. I promptly walked out. Avoid if you want to eat somewhere pleasurable

I visited Grove last night with some friends and the first thing i noticed of the menu is what great value it is. A set menu running alongside the A la Carte @ 16.95 for 2 / 19.95 for 3 courses and we were certainly impressed with the food when it arrived. I enjoyed my Cesar salad and the roasted pork belly was beautiful. They also knocked up some smashing cocktails. All that combined with the very helpful and sweet waitress resulted in a lovely, relaxed dinner. The next time i do not have the energy to cook i will definitely be straight off to Grove as it is just around the corner.

Lovely and welcoming place. Simple and unpretentious, Yet their food is delicious and cooked to perfection. Always something new on the menu. I love their Suffolk Ale and Marinated Seafood Salad with Garlic & Parsley Dressing. Yummy :)

Dear Kevey I don't know where was your head on the day when you wrote this review! Probably everywhere, but at The Grove. To make my point - visit The Grove any time for delicious breakfast and the best Full English Beakfast, for lunch-go for a 2 or 3 course meal-it starts only from £10 and finally for nice, relaxing dinner. My favorite dish is steak, but you won't go wrong with any fish or salad dish. Ask friendly staff for selection of Organic wines. The best table is one next to the big window. I will definitely return, I always do..cheers

Well I must say I was presently surprised by the wonderful atmosphere of the Grove Bar and Restaurant. The minute I walked in I was seen and offered a table. The decorations were fabulous, especially the beautiful lemon paintings that hung above my table, something pleasant too look at. And the food was fantastic, pan-fried sea-bass fillet, stuffed with wild rocket and smoked salmon, and soft, delicious white bread. The wine I chose, Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, was perfect, putting the finishing touch to my meal, and the staff were cheerful and polite. I didn't even get a nasty shock when I asked for the bill. The Grove is a perfect place for a delicious meal without a horrific price attached!

The Grove is an impressive place. It’s spacious with high ceiling and decorated in warm colours. It’s welcoming yet unpretentious. Their dishes are copious and fairly priced but include full garnish. Fresh food and ever-changing menu are their unrivalled strengths. Dining at the Grove is always relaxing and enjoyable experience.

This award-winning gastropub keeps standards high and guests happy – The Grove Bar and Restaurant is a star find.

The Venue
Situated in quiet Hammersmith Grove, The Grove Bar and Restaurant has an old fashioned pub skeleton, which has been suitably updated for modern tastes. Everything has been stripped back – the hardwood floors, the tables and the chairs, which allows the warm glow of the natural wood through. Walls are a creamy yellow with dark green wainscoting. There is a small bar in the corner and the room is set up more for eating than drinking with tightly packed tables. There is a lovely terrace with lots of plants, which is popular at all times. A smaller room upstairs can be hired out.

The Atmosphere
The colours at The Grove Bar and Restaurant are inspired by the Mediterranean, as is the menu, in this family-friendly spot. The warmth of the med extends to the service and the contented demeanor of the professional crowd who frequent this charming venue.

The Food
The menu changes twice daily using fresh and mostly organic ingredients. The cooking is modern European and has won many accolades, although it has the gastropub prices to match rather than spit and sawdust pub prices.

The Drink
The Grove Bar and Restaurant provides organic and non-organic wine, standard and premium ales, and cocktails. Look out for the Happy Hour with many drink specials, which are excellent value for money.

The Last Word
The Grove Bar and Restaurant is long established as a favourite in this locality. The fact that it is busy most nights speaks for itself.
