I had high hopes and expectations for the re-opening of Club Warehouse last year.It couldn't have come easy, as lead ups and transition of club management flared up a almost one way looking license decision which could have brought the clubs operating hours into curfew and the end of the club. All effort's which have been put in have been of a professional nature, the club has been re-modeled, the PR machine and promoting have been top notch, but sadly the club is lacking. Basically put the club is a year/ 2 years behind with jumping on the Deep bandwagon. Those that remember 2008-2011 at the club remember the tight array of House tunes which dominated the dance floor spun by 'DJ's' with CDJ's not Macbooks. Ok, so the clubs been pulling in Big name (producers) but they fail every time in booking DJ's, I could quite easily walk into another club or bar in the Area and have a better time listening to a no name spinning than be subjected to the drone of an ego pulsated non directional Macbook mix from a guy who doesn't know how to work a crowd.Quite frankly there doesn't seem to be a lineup which ever makes me want to get my skates on to get there, and If I do turn up its through friends , want and not mine. There's a lot to do to get this back on track, including most importantly operating and anti shuffle and shades policy. Pro's - Late opening , decent (functionone) sound system (although lacking an engineer to make it sound how it should) Decent photographer, mixed usually friendly crowd.Con's - No Card Payments, No Cigarette Machine, Toilet attendant watching you pee, Not the best Transport links (Cabs a must) Shufflers & ProDJucers on Macbooks.
