Great public house. Always head here when they have live music which is only about once a month which is a shame!

we live locally and have been here on several occasions but recently the cleanliness has declined when we have visited the tables are very sticky, and not wiped, dirty cutlery, carpets not vacumed, outside the main door there were cigarettes ends all at the front, staff were friendly but very scruffy and untidy, the only good thing was the food arrived fairly quickly,SORRY ABOUT THE REST OF THE PUB!

great food, great prices, even better drink as u can tell they actually clean the beer. Team friendly even when the pub is busy and u always see a manager behind the bar working instead of drinking the profits!! but they need to bring back apple pie cuz i miss it!

Bitter much? Shame u have to be so negative over a lovely pub and a great management team.

?pub has really gone down hill since the new manager tristan took over, it used to be a friendly and busy local pub of mine, with great food and service, everyone knew eachother and the staff were marvelous, but ever since the previous managers dave and jules leaft the standards have dropped so dramatically, staff are rude, the manager has a bad reputation for how he treats his staff resulting in many well liked staff (who brought the customers in) leaving the place. All the locals who have eaten and drank in this pub for many years have now simply stopped going and we all now go to the colebrook down the road. The last few times i ate there the food arrived cold, (it was a microwave lasagne) so i cant see how they can possibly go wrong with that, its just a badly managed place and is a shame to see a pub which was so full of life to be so run down now. also the prices for the food are way too high for the quality you get, especially when theres new pubs in the area with food cheaper, better quality food and more of it. i think who ever owns this pub needs to seriously re think their choice of management.

this pub is lovely, food was fantastic i have the mixed chicken and steak fajitas, bloody tasty! the place seems to be really buzzing, looks like a new manager is turning things around. Prices cheap and staff friendly. great place to go!! particularly on Friday for jack the joker!! won £20!!
