Peking Court reviews

awful! awful! awful! Can you believe this restaurant increased their prices from the usual £8.50 to £10.50 on Chineese New Year Celebrations day (sunday) They just stuck a hand written A4 piece of paper over the usual menu on the A board outside. I just wish we had spotted it on the way in and removed it The maitre d' was rude, treating all customers like it was a cattle market and making people share tables. Dirty big grey toat crates all over full of used plates. When i asked for straws gfor the children i was told i would have to go to the bar and get them. The service was terrible. If you are thinking. Really dont bother.

Never been to Peking Court before. Fantastic food, great value for money, friendly staff. Will definitely be going back again.

Have to say I recently went to the Peking Court and it was wonderful. Granted it's a buffet so expectations are not high and the selection was just right (not overflowing). The food is absolutely spectacular, very good quality, freshly cooked and good quality meats (not flour and greasy deep friedness like some other places I've tried before). For the price it is definitely excellent value for money, perfect for taking boys as they can eat and eat and it's still healthy and good for them. Would recommend.

I experienced the worst customer service at this restaurant. When my son and I arrived, not the first time we have been there, we were asked to pay first. I did think this was a bit strange but thought maybe they have had customers run off without paying so had changed the policy. So i paid upfront. That wasn't the problem. A little while later we noticed a group of 5 lads got up to pay...after they had eaten. So we asked the waitress why we had to pay first. She started to stutter and then said the most unbelievable thing i have ever heard in my life...''Maybe you wrong sort of person''. I am a store manager of a high street fashion chain and my son is studying Business Management at the University of Manchester and yet we are the wrong sort of people. If we had looked scruffy i might have understood but we did not as we never do. I will never use this restaurant again.

Food was excellent, service was friendly. Had a great meal before going to the pictures. Sorry to hear from a member of the staff that some customer was rude to her because she asked them to pay upfront. Its a Buffet Restaurant what wrong with people.

Had a fantastic meal here today. Great value for the price. Large selection of food for all our party. Everyone was happy from my mother to my kids. The spicy pepper chicken dish was out of this world. We'll be back soon.
