Tiger Tiger Manchester reviews

I like TigerTiger as a place to go and dance the night away. With it's multilevels and rooms of bars it's a fun place to explore (there's your standard current pop music floors with bars, an electro/dubstep room and a 70's room). The 70's room was my favourite as it tended to play a mix of motown and classics to dance to and was really fun, though the electro room is worth experiencing simply for the fact that most people there are in a world of their own. Cue some interesting dancing. Word of caution though- you will have to queue a while to get in and once in you will have to queue everytime you want a drink as this place gets very very busy. As a consequence it's also boiling in there as the air con seems to be non existant. On the other hand it's a really good night out and if you're going with a group of friends I'd go simply for the private karaoke rooms which are a great and relatively well priced way to round off the night.

Great place for food and drink. The happy hour deal they currently have means I can buy 5 pints and still get change from a tenner! Nice crowd on a weekend as well. Will keep returning...

Tiger Tiger is a commercial party bar where you can meet young glammed up girls and boys.

The Venue
Situated in The Printworks complex, you can’t miss Tiger Tiger as its entrance sits facing outwards on Withy Grove. This Tiger Tiger is a bit more upmarket than its more meat-market branches elsewhere and when it first opened in Manchester it made quite stir, but these days it’s settled into life as a cheesy night out.

It has a stone and dark wood floor and sports a mirrored bar bedecked with flowers. Opposite the bar there are flower-print booths and the high ceiling features with exposed tubes a la renowned architect Richard Rogers, complete with strange metal sculptures. The restaurant is to the right and there’s an extra bar upstairs for when it gets busy. There are also karaoke pods that you can hire out downstairs.

The People
If you want to meet dolled-up young women wearing very little but jewellery and make-up, and young guys hoping their latest eau de cologne will have the desired effect, then you won’t be disappointed. Lynx have a lot to answer for. Come here on a weekend night to pull or be pulled.

The Food and Drink
Staropramen, Beck’s Vier, Guinness, John Smith’s Extra Cold is on tap and in bottles there’s Sol, Corona, Stella, Heineken and (obviously) Tiger. There are cocktails aplenty and of course all the main alcopop brands.

As well as baguettes and wraps they have a £5 list which includes gilled chicken fillet and blackened Cajun chicken Caesar salad, and a £7 list which comprises wholetail scampi and chips and beer-battered fish and chips.

The Last Word
A place to eat, drink and cavort…hang on that’s Brannigan’s slogan, but alas, the same principles apply here, albeit in a prettier environment. It’s popular with stag and hen nights so if you want eyefuls of bare flesh and maybe a drunken embrace, then head on down.
