Six Bells Hotel reviews

The people who run this have only just taken over but they are doing a really good job. Always beautiful food and service with a smile.

After reading such positive reviews, we were disappointed with the meal we had at the six bells yesterday. The quality of poultry/meat was sub-standard and over-priced. Generally each course lacked flavour. The homemade chips and garlic bread were nice. The furnishings were shabby and deteriorating and it was a bit dirty. Staff friendly.

Beatifull food, impeccably clean and a lovely atmosphere when we entered. I have to say we go out for lunch and meals in general frequently and must rate this pub as one of the best in Cardiff or Newport. The fish and chips was lovely, the homemade chips were a real treat from the norm. So nice to see a pub getting it just right when so many are going under. Will be back soon 5star************

The new management are getting it right. Good Beer, good food, good friendly service and a good atmosphere, what more could you ask for. Lovely location well worth seeking out, so glad we did. Will be back soon.

Very good first impressions! Liked it a lot and actually a bit disappointed I was just having drinks, as the food looked very appetising. Will return for food and update my review!

Since being changed from a managed house into a free house the Six Bells has had a transformation. In a short space of time the bar and restaurant is quickly earning a reputation for excellent, reasonably priced food in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. The food is very good and of a high standard, specialising in locally sourced, quality produce. Nice touches such as home made tartare sauce add to the experience - the home made chips are lovely. There are big plans for Six Bells Hotel - already it is one of the best places to eat eat of Cardiff.
