Popped in for a sunday roast whilst cycling with friends on the downs. When we walked in they seemed to want to turn us away or say they where booked up, but with about 5 other customers in they decided to let us sit in. We were not covered in mud etc, but they really gave a good looking over. Not sure why a "country" pub on the south downs way seems suprised when a cyclist/walker pops in. The food was fine, not a homely roast, but above average. When paying a friend was over charged on his card, then they counted the cash in front of us, which is pretty lame. Would not bother going back.
