Had a meal here with my family and it was superb. The staff were really helpful and patient which helps when you have kids.

Bad food poor service

The pork steaks were cold the curry wasn't a curry it was a whole breast with vegetables the rice had to be asked for . The staff were going to reheat the chicken as it was undercooked there was no apology from the staff they just smirked thinking it was funny the chicken was undercooked .

we popped in on our way to Brighton for the day ,and ended up staying for a couple of hours . Lovely food reasonably priced ,staff very helpfull ,cant wait to go back for the BBQ .

Popped in for a sunday roast whilst cycling with friends on the downs. When we walked in they seemed to want to turn us away or say they where booked up, but with about 5 other customers in they decided to let us sit in. We were not covered in mud etc, but they really gave a good looking over. Not sure why a "country" pub on the south downs way seems suprised when a cyclist/walker pops in. The food was fine, not a homely roast, but above average. When paying a friend was over charged on his card, then they counted the cash in front of us, which is pretty lame. Would not bother going back.

Good food, good service and a warm welcome for children. Extensive food menu so something for everyone, and reasonable prices
